I suppose one thing you could equate Astro's cards to is an invoking of fervent belief that victory will be obtained against the odds, or that someone will survive a grievous wound. We have seen several times that belief and faith in the series can make thing happen.

Oschon has me curious. He shows up when the whorl is dormant, for all other gods and goddesses that were created without stepping through the whorl they had a sort of implied birth, except for Nald'thal. Oschon created Nald'thal singularly with no partner and when Oschon did create a God he made the only one that is like two gods fused into one. Why does Oschon seem so different from all the others?

Personally, in dungeons, YOU are the WoL and anyone else in your party are just part of the "guild". In Trials, it's just YOU fighting the boss while anyone else are just gameplay or "summoned adventurers". Sure, they're capable, but not anywhere compared to YOU, Hydaelyn's Chosen Hero. That's how I see it, anyway.

This is interesting cause i have my wol who is a viera/hrothgar mix and she mostly inherited viera traits with the exception of having a bunny tail and more sharper than usual teeth/canines to show her hrothgar side of the genes.

What I like about the voidsent is that they're all unique and not necessarily evil. If the recently published book is anything to go by, Reapers either tend, or exclusively do, make pacts with their voidsent shards on the 13th. That, coupled with Azem's shards' tendency to be heroic, means our voidsent must be pretty nice.

I want to add something important. I feel that the english translation can be somewhat misleading. I am german and watched the trailer in german. And many things are translated very literally from the japanese version. If you for example use google lens to translate the text of the japanese trailer you will see different results and somewhat translations which somewhat change the whole meaning of the dialogue. I have two central examples: 1. At 1:43:37 where it says "But the road will be a difficult one... fraught with undtold perils" in the german trailer it translates to "But a single clap of thunder...changes everything!" and in japanese it says also translates to "Suddenly a threat arrives... with a thunder clap", which MEANS that Solution Nine might have not been there all the time, but WILL arrive there during the story. Which also explains why it is not currently on the map which was displayed in the last Endwalker patch. So my theory is that Solution will arrive there as we progress through the story. So I don't think it was there the whole time... it will arrive during the story! Or maybe it was there hidden, but it will suddenly appear! 2. Also at 1:50:13 the maiden doesn't talk about any of this stuff in the german and japanese trailer. She says "The key is finally in my hands. Now my plan can be realized..." Which makes me think she might be a villain who plays us all like a fiddle. Or she might be somewhat opposed to us. I just wanted to say this, because the english translation differs so much from the original japanese version and the german version which often translates stuff very literally.

I wish these videos with exclusive information existed as regular videos as well. Watching these is very difficult as they are way too quick to process but also do not have a rewind feature or subtitles. I wish to learn all of this but shorts are an unbearable medium to me. But I'm glad you are documenting this information at all, even if it's like this.

The answer to Edda's fall is obvious enough if you pay attention in Tam Tara Hard. There's a pseudo midboss creating a barrier early on in the dungeon: Dantalion. It's a voidsent based on an actual demon in the Book of Solomon, able to assume the face of any person and teach the arts of any craft, for it knows the hearts of people and can change them to fit his needs. It's clear a voidsent possessed Avere's head while they were still in the Deepcroft and whispered to Edda while she was vulnerable and alone.

Race mixing provides one problematic thing - logistics. Implications. Let's just say I don't trust anybody taller than a Miqote courting a Lalafell...

The fact that Soken wrote this while he was fighting cancer in a hospital bed, during the height of the pandemic so he couldn't have visitors...really just punched the meaning higher for me, even beyond the game meaning.

the only real female protag in FF is lightning from 13. and her character is garbage. we need a well written female protag up in here. And no Terra doesnt count from 6 and nor does the MMO player characters. im talking about a REAL female protag. like how cloud is the protag to 7 or zidane is the protag for 9.
